HOW DO
— fairly guarded with strangers since he was cursed; afraid to trust people or upset them for fear of being victim to someone else's magic
— darkly humorous, sarcastic, self-deprecating (in a fun way stop worrying about him dahlia!!!)
— never fails to be impulsive at the worst possible times
— fiercely protective of the people close to him (a puppy)
— somehow manages to hold onto an air of innocence/naivety amongst all the... blood and guts, though it may be due in part to his attachment to colorful, bright, pretty things as an obvious coping mechanism
— delights in natural beauty and can be quite pensive when given the time and space to do so
— likes biking, running, and walking ringo (sometimes in the middle of the night)
divider Character Background;— started secretly hanging out with a small group of dark witches the summer before he'd start college, more as an act of rebellion than anything else as he knew his parents would disapprove
— another witch witch Julian knew from school starting tagging along with the group, and after they dark witch boys decided they didn't like their new addition, they told Julian to get rid of him or else they'd cut Julian loose too
— positive he couldn't do it alone, Julian cast a power spell on himself, a spell that went beyond what he expected; out of control and unable to stop himself, he attacked the white witch, egged on by the other boys
— the white witch's brother arrived in time to stop Julian from killing him, but only because he caught hold of Julian and—in desperation—cursed him while the other witches got away— the white witch and his brother were both left unconscious, beaten bloody and wasted from casting the curse, and so Julian ran off
— he spent the night ill and despite his best efforts to appear fine in the morning, his parents could sense the presence of dark magic
— Julian refused to tell them what had happened and was kept on tentative house arrest while his parents secretly searched for a cure; when one couldn't be found, Julian was ostracized by his parents, as they couldn't accept a dark witch into the family
— he had no choice but to abandon his siblings and fled to Savannah
— upon arriving in town, Julian met Riven in a coffee shop and shortly after decided to rent out an apartment together
— sells hexes and other dark magic paraphernalia out of his apartment to both white witches and humans (he was a little desperate ok), has recently gotten a part-time job running flower deliveries for the florist shop his sister works at
